2016 Audi A 3 Navigation Not Installed. The MMI reads "Navigation is not installed". Is the DVD slot in the dash board or in the second row?

If factory and in the front, I'd suspect it's for loading navigation system updates. I tried resetting the MMI several times to no avail. Three days back the navigation system stopped working all of a sudden.
